Age verification
We sell alcohol, tobacco and vapes, and the law says we must be sure you are 18 or over before you buy them. Here is exactly what that means when you order online.
Which products
Anything marked 18+ in the shop: beer, wine and spirits, cigarettes and rolling tobacco, vapes and e-liquids. Everything else has no age check at all. You can browse 18+ products without verifying; the check only starts when you go to pay for one.
What happens at checkout

You place an order with an 18+ item in it.
Checkout asks you to verify before you pay.

You show a photo ID.
A passport, UK driving licence or a PASS-approved proof of age card. It is checked by a secure verification service, not by our staff, and we do not keep a copy.

Your account is marked 18+ verified.
You can see this on your account page. You will not be asked to upload ID again for future orders.

The driver may still ask at the door.
We follow Challenge 25: if you look under 25, the driver will ask to see ID before handing over 18+ items. This is the same rule as at the counter.
If ID cannot be shown
If verification fails, or nobody at the door can show ID when asked, we cannot hand over the 18+ items. The rest of the order is still delivered and the 18+ lines are refunded to the card you paid with. We will not deliver 18+ items to anyone who appears drunk, and we never leave them unattended.
Your privacy
We only ever store the outcome: verified, or not. The document itself is handled by the verification service and is not shown to our staff or kept on your account. See our privacy policy for the details.
